Wedge Tomb

This cute little wedge tomb is located in a private garden. The owner kindly gave permission for our visit. Please ask for permission before visiting the tomb. The chamber is thought to be built into the remnants of a circular enclosure. It is aligned E-W and consists of two side stones with a possible back stone, covered by a larger roofstone. It was sad to see an electricity pole had been placed in the surrounding bank. This is no reflection on the owner who keeps the area around the tomb in good condition.

Situated: From Letterfrack take the Renvyle road through Tullycross. Drive to the end of the road through Renvyle. The road turns sharp left before the castle. The tomb is in the the garden of the first house on your left.
